Oh my gosh, I just came to this forum to post about the exact same thing! I made a batch last night and was supposed to have a "sandwich" for lunch today, but my hubby called last minute and took me out on a lunch date.  So I'll be trying it tonight. What did you think?

I was trying to talk to my husband about it over lunch today and was wondering if this would be a trigger food or a slippery slope to bringing back bad habits (I made a joke about bringing them to an Indian restaurant and sopping up sauces with it like naan). He didn't think my joke was funny and said that no food should be a trigger for me at 9 months out, I should be over those issues. I've got to think more on that one.

Anyway, back to the "bread". I didn't think they were too hard to make and am excited about the prospect of "toast".  I calculated about 28 calories per "slice" and 1.8 grams of protein.

If anyone else has made them or has thoughts on adding them to meal plans, let me know. My question was going to be around it being a trigger food or just "empty" calories and should it be avoided.

It's mostly pure protein and the numbers are great.  Plus, like my using zucchini spaghetti in lieu of pasta is not a trigger . . .this serves the same purpose.  I prefer using a cloud bun for tuna or whatever, rather than a lettuce wrap.  2 halves of my cloud bread are 43 cals, 0 carbs, and 4 gms of protein.

I made these the other day.. I added rosemary and garlic, so good.. I ended up tossing the rest because as soon as I ate one I wanted another. My mom had two I had one and I tossed the other 3. I made them with ricotta instead of the cream cheese

recipe I used - https://eatingwelllivingthin.wordpress.com/2010/01/18/no-flo ur-bread-riiiiiiiiight/

You are doing great!  Don't pay attention to your husband. I believe we will have triggers for the rest of our lives. He doesn't get it. My husband do ant get it either. When I ask him not to have unhealthy foods around he house, he says that it will make me stronger. He doesn't understand. Keep up the good work!

I made some using ricotta cheese, and was so excited to have pb2 toast in the morning, and then topped them with egg salad for a snack later that day but I got hiccups while eating them both times. I'm going to try again to make them using cream cheese and see if I get a different reaction. Then again, I'm only 3 weeks out today, so I may need to hold off and revisit this at a later date.
