Hi folks! I am so excited. I LOVE the cinnamon spiced and sugared nuts. But, obviously, I can't eat them because of my surgery. At least not until now! I took the following recipe from a Betty Crocker cook book and simply substituted granular Splenda for the sugar! I can't tell the difference! ------------------------------------ 1t slightly beaten egg white 2C pecan halves, unblanched almonds or walnut halves (or mix them for a total of 2 cups) 1/4 Granular Splenda (you can use a little more if you want it sweeter) 2t ground cinnamon 1/4t ground nutmeg 1/4t ground cloves 1.Heat oven to 300 degrees 2. Mix egg whites and pecan halves in medium bowl until pecans are coated and sticky 3. Mix remaining ingredients and sprinkly over the pecans. Stir pecans until conpletely coated. Spread pecans in a single layer in unreased jelly roll pan 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch. 4. Bake about 30 minutes or until toasted. Cool completely or serve warm! YUM!!! Hope you like it! Mark
