Revision from Lap-Band to Bypass or Sleeve 1 surgery

I searched the web and found that many people have had the revision surgery from lap band to bypass or sleeve in 1 surgery.  Are there any members in northern VA DC MD who have had this done in 1 surgery?

My Dr will do it but in 2 surgeries which I don't want to have.

My consult is in 2 weeks so I'd like some options if he won't do 1 surgery.

It is entirely up to the surgeon, I doubt you will change his mind. You may have to find a different doc that does them in one surgery. It also depends on how much damage the band has done, sometimes it is just too much to do it all at one time.

Depends on the surgeon. Seek a second opinion if you want to revise in one step.
