Revision on 03/06/15

I have been approved for a revision....I had RNY July of 06.  Lost only 60 lbs maintained that and about 1 year ago stated to gain weight from stress.  I eat on average 1000 calories (per old NUT).  Anyway, per my new surgeon he did an EGD and discovered that the pouch and stoma were not done correctly in the beginning.  My question is should I just have it redone or should I go with a distal (my surgeon don't do DS revision)  I am researching but there is so many different opinions on the subject.  Would like to hear from yall.  Thanks.

I strongly advise a DS and if you would like to know one of the very best "revision" surgeons, I would contact Dr. Keshishian in Glendale, CA.

I've heard the distal referred to as the worst of both worlds! Sounds pretty nasty to me!

I live happily with a distal.
