Anyone have an ERNY or distal or malabsoptive bypass revision?

I am 3 weeks out from my revision from an RNY to an ERNY (otherwise known as a distal or malabsorptive bypass) and I'm having trouble finding a support group.  Since our vitamin and diet needs are different than regular bypass patients, I started my own FB support group.  I'm looking for others that had the same surgery and to join.  Whether you are new or experienced, I'd love to have you join our group.  The name of the group is Distal Bypass Support Group and here's the link.

I'm not there yet.  My insurance refused to pay for the revision. My next process is an appeal. 

You may want to contact VitaLady.com, since she has a distal many years ago. She would be a great resource person.

Good luck in your appeal.  I was lucky in that my doctor called BCBS and talked to the medical director and got me approved.  Once you get approved, come join our group so you'll get some insight into what to expect.
