I don't post on this board often, but I came across a long-term WLS doctor's website that talks about the outcomes of WLS and the possibilities for revisions. I don't know this doctor, so I'm not endorsing him as a surgeon, but his strategy is consistent with the long-term research.  Anyone have experience with this surgeon??  He seems to be one of the few with significant DS experience.

I have no experience with him, but he is a highly skilled revisionist, one of the few recommended for difficult revisions.

He is very good. I am considering him to go from VSG to DS. No one else would even consider this because of the reflux be been having. They kept telling me RNY was my only option. But he thinks he will be able to perform a nissen fundiplication with mesh to help my current reflux.

This is fine by me because if I can gain weight after the sleeve (a sleeve that is in no way stretched apparently) then I assure you I can gain weight after the RNY, which is why I want no part of it.

I am still on the fence about whether to get the DS, but I know I will be having Dr.kesheshian fix my stomach.

I never heard of a nissen fundiplication before, but when I googled it, it sounds like a way to fix GERD, with or without WLS.  Good luck, I hope you have success.   I didn;t know I had a hiatal hernia before I did all the WLS pre-op stufff.  They fixed it and no more heartburn - that was almost as good as losing the weight.
