I had my band on July 2005, I had a lot of success and went from 210lb to 135lb!!! But little by little I have gained most of the weight back... I have had problems with my band and had to empty it .... going to 188lb today!!! My surgery to take the band out ond do the sleeve is on Tuesday July 11th. I am very afraid of the future but I know I need a tool to help me lose this weight. I am very sad to read that a lot of people in Utube say the revision is not as successful as the first surgery.

I am also worried about the 2 months of liquid diet (with the different phases) ... I feel a lot different today compared to my first surgery, I know now that the surgery will not be a miracle and I need to be strong and manage my food addiction. I know I will be a food addict until I die.

I need any support and prayers you can give me!! Any tips for success. I am 48 years old and 5'4". My goal this time is to get to 140-160lb but most importantly maintain the loss...

I have two kids and my whole like have been defined by this stupid weight, my daughter graduated from highschool and I was not able to even take pictures with her because of how horrible I look.

I am praying I can survive the surgery ad next two months... I think once I can start normal food it may be easier. (IDK) ...

Thank you in advance for all your support!!

Hi, I too have a lapland, and am wanting the gastric sleeve surgery. Why is it that so many people have said that the revision isn't as successful? I am only just beginning to research this and want to know if I should bother with the surgery.

Hi, I dont know why they said that either, my doctor said the statistically the second surgery is not as effective as the first one. May be is a combination of things, philological and the fact that we have learn to eat with the band... :(..... However, there are a lot of people here with great success, which is very encouraging...

I know for a fact that I am older know and I lose a lot slower now than 15 years ago... I know that there is no magic surgery.... when I lost a lot of weight with the band at the begining, I was working hard, eating right exercising .... but when I stop and they had to empty my band for having a lot of breathing issues ... the weight came back, and I have tried several times to lose weight but no success... I am so very scared about this next surgery not helping. My doctor thinks I can get to 160lb (even though I got to 135 last time, he is not sure my body will allow that much loss this time)...I will be happy with 160 and maintaining that....

I will keep you posted!!

Your stats are sooooo awesome and encouraging!!! Could you tell me how much you eat now to maintain that weight. What is your day like?

Do you exercise a lot? I am really lazy... :(

Well! Congratulations on your journey!! I hope my sleeve help me reach and MAINTAIN my goal!!

I will be really really happy if I could get to 140-150 range
