Any pre-op liquid diet tips?

I get really tired of drinking sweet stuff. Canned chicken and beef broth aren't cutting it so my surgeon said I could strain some chicken noodle soup and drink that. I also have one can of Cream of something soup per day but everything else is sweet.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks they can share with me to help me through the last week of this diet?

I am also having a hard time. I am having in surgery on Feb 22 and I can't seem to stick with liquids. I  am doing good sticking with proteins only but I can't seem to not eat food.  Sounds like you are doing better than me.
Ugh! Same problem here. I have surgery on the 21st and am HATING so much cold, sweet stuff. Hang in there!!! I will say that having a protein drink/shake helps curb hunger. I also have a boiled egg in the mornings. My doctor said that that was fine. Oh, and warm milk helps curb it as well. I can't tell you how to cut out the sweet though. It's just the nature of the beast I guess. Good luck!
I think the most important thing is just to keep your goal in sight and remember this is just temporary.  Yeah, you're sick of the sweet stuff... you just got one more week.  You can do it.  Strained real soup may be more satisfying than plain broth.  It basically is broth, just more flavor.  You can add garlic or various herbs to flavor the broth, too, which might help.  If you use less protein powder in your shakes, it cuts down on the sweetness.  Sometimes I just use half a scoop.  Of course you get less protein and it's still sweet, just not as sweet.

Eating isn't an option.My surgeon has and will cancel surgeries if he suspects that you've cheated. I'm too scared to chance it. I'm heading out to Trader Joes today to see if they have a larger variety of low fat cream soups I can try. Right now I'm alternating between cream of chicken and cream of mushroom.

 Goodness! Now I'm nervous. I just got my surgery date (March 8th) so I don't need to start my liquid diet for another week but now I'm scared! I ended up picking up Lean Body for Her protein shakes. They come in three flavors which I thought was nice...but I never even considered that I'd get tired of the sweetness. Good to hear that broth is an option, though!
