10 months out how much did you lose ( GB RNY)
A couple of things to remember..and I know you know this..everyone is different so be careful how much you compare yourself to others. When you stall, try increasing your calories (unless you are eating things you shouldn't be or are eating too much). I have been fortunate and really haven't stalled much..once at 3 weeks and then basically stopped losing about 2 months ago for awhile, then lost a few lbs again recently. If my weight loss started to slow down it usually was because I wasn't eating enough. People have a tendency to cut back on calories when the weight loss slows which actually has the opposite effect, it tells your body it's starving and it will hold onto everything it can. OR..maybe you need to try some exercise, or some different exercise. Remember too that it depends on how much you weighed when you started. If you weighed more when you started you will typically lose more faster than if you weighed less. I weighed 270 lbs when I started and now I weigh 150. If you weighed 220 when you started you aren't going to lose as much as quickly.
That being said..let me answer your question. I've lost a total of 120 lbs. That includes 8 lbs. during my pre-surgery dietitian visits and 11 lbs. during my pre-op liquid diet. It seemed really slow at times, but when I look at things now (changes in pictures, clothes sizes etc...)I'm thrilled. I don't see the same thing in the mirror as others see, that is obvious from the comments I get.
I hope this is somewhat helpful? Don't get discouraged...follow your plan and mix-up your calorie intake and exercise and you'll do fine!!! Hang in there!!!!
