Big Pouch Days
So I have seen people post about having big pouch days before and I was wondering if anyone knows what causes them. I dont have them often, but I seem to be having one today. I have been hungry all day long. My cup of chicken tortilla soup (mainly a cup of chicken and ceggies with very little actual soup) didnt fill me up i ate a whole half a protein bar after it. Just wondering what causes those days where you can't seem to fill up.
For me out is race days 10k or longer or training days. My 13.5 mile run had me eating the whole day. Granted I had 4500 calories to use if I wanted.

I don't so much have big pouch "days" but rather I have a big pouch at night. I really don't feel like or care to eat in the morning, but I do what I can because breakfast is so important.
At night, like around 6pm, all I want to do is eat. I am really hungry, like actually hungry. I try to get in protein. I don't have a clue what causes this, I just think it is one of those things we as RNY patients have to find a way to live with. I drink quite a bit of water at night too to fill up, whatever I can do to keep from munching.

I know this is late..... but in my opinion food is used for energy and that when I eat the most my body is losing inches or pounds.... I think a big pouch day is your body burning the food you are eating and using it for fuel.... it is actually a good thing... just be mindful to fill it with healthy things.......
