Carly,
I'm glad to hear that you are seeing a therapist. I think it would be beneficial to all of us, but is especially important when you don't have support at home. Please seriously consider maintaining the sessions for the first couple of years. This is because there are a number of 'phases' that we go through and just when you think you've got the program down pat, you'll round another corner and find additional issues that need to be addressed. Many people have heavy loads and are able to be very successful, especially when they engage a therapist. It is also helpful to attend support groups so that you can talk with others that are in the same place you are in your journey, as well as those who have gone before you. Face to face support is somewhat different from the support you can get here, so if it is available, I would strongly suggest you take advantage of it as well as continuing to come her for support.
Wishing you all the best,
