I am finishing up the last round of Chantix for quitting smoking. This has worked quite well for me.
Since i have to crush all medications not chewable or avail. in liquid form, i included the Chantix in those i crushed starting out after surgery. The first couple days i was getting a head rush, dizziness right after taking the meds. i have determined that Chantix is the culprit, not realizing it is time release.
I am mixing it in my shakes after crushing and that has solved the dizziness. Hopefully this is okay.

Is there any reason they must be crushed? I took Chantix after my surgery whole without a problem. They are very tiny so I didn't have to worry about them getting stuck or anything. But I never crushed any pills anyway. I was never told to and had no issues.

The program I am in insists that all pills be crushed if not avail. in other forms. I didn't question the guidelines 'cause I don't want to screw up. Trust me, some of these chewables and liquids are so disgusting, i would prefer to just swallow!
