Hump day April Divas - Getting your miles in?

How are you all doing?  Happy to say I got my 11 miles in on Sunday (and a nice sunburn, hard to remember that while it's cold, the sun can still burn), and 1.25 on Monday.  Was going to workout last night but got asked at the last minute to share my RNY story with the monthly orientation group due to a last minute drop out.  But will workout tonight and am planning a 6 mile walk tomorrow and 7 miles on Sat.

Not so hot. I got 1.2 miles in today, and I dragged almost every inch of it. I think I'm going to have to take a day or two off the running and start spacing it out to every other day. That knot in my quad is back and it creates a painful hitch in my thigh.

I also picked up an extra shift teaching class tomorrow, so my workouts tend to be shorter on those days. I think tomorrow I'm just going to focus on ab work and swim.

Highest weight: 269.  Surgery weight: 233.  Goal weight: 144, and then we'll see.. 
 Be sure to take at least one rest day a week with no exercise to give your body a chance to recover.  You're doing great!

Hi Jan and all...

Yup, yup.... Monday was 2 miles on treadmill/8 on bike and Tuesday was 2 miles on treadmill/9 on bike.  I'm currently getting ready to go workout shortly and plan on 45 minutes on the treadmill (should be at least 3 miles) and then 1/2 hour on the bike.

Trying hard... want to get in what I can before my surgery 4/30 as I know I'll have to slow down for a while then!

 Got my 2 laps in yesterday and about to go out and do my 2 today. Then I'm  going to Costco so that should count for something!

So how was your anniversary dinner?  Eat yummy stuff?

 It was really good.
Appetizer was duck confiet (sp?) with lambs ear's lettuce. A very soft lettuce but I didn't eat that. The duck was good. It was a very small portion (yeah!)
The entree was guinea fowl with french lentils and mustard greens over some fancy french sauce. I had never had guinea fowl so I thought I would try it. It's like a really rich and moist chicken. I liked it. Last time I ate there I had fois gras (Peta people don't hurt me) and venison for the first time. Loved that so much.
The dessert was some rich chocolate hazelnut rich scary good thing. It was very small portion and Michelle ate half.
I left without feeling overfull. It was adult, luxurious, and a very good time.

 Costco is so big I'd give you two miles just for walking around the store.  

Didn't know it was your anniversary!  Hope you and M. had a very happy one.

(I think it wasn't THAT anniversary... but the '3 month since kidney transplant' anniversary!)
2.11 miles walking Monday and 6.23 miles on the bike Tuesday. Tonight will most likely be the elliptical.
Did 6 miles Sunday, then...NOTHING.  Too busy at work, then too lazy after.  Gotta get my butt in gear.  I didn't even walk the dog--BF took care of her.  I will have to get out there tonight!

Week 1:  14 miles
Week 2:  16 miles

Week 3 is still looking a little weak.

 I'm half way done for the week. I'm hoping to be done by Friday. 
Well, I did sprints on the elliptical yesterday for about 10 minutes, but I forgot to notice the mileage (2min sprints seperated by strength rounds).
Tomorrow is a 30minutes spin class, no mileage available on our bikes though :(

Friday I workout with the trainer, and also we are having an off site "team building" for work where we will be doing a scavenger hunt in a huge 2 story museum. So no numbers, but I will definitely be moving!

Saturday is a 5k for our local rape crisis center, so I know I will get at least half my goal!!
 You can estimate the bike miles.  Say it takes you 6 minutes to do a mile (or whatever you think), then that's 5 miles.

You're team building sounds like so much fun!  Wish we did things like that at work.

 I have never tracked miles on the bike, so i am not sure (just went by time and speed).  Plus this class goes sprints and slower hills etc....c raziness! :)

  This is our first time doing an off site.  Picnic, scavenger hunt, cool prizes. I am pretty excited except it will be immediately after I spend an hour with the trainer.  Not sure I will be excited about all the stairs!  HA
 not even counting everything (just the .5 mile or more) i'm at 12.5 for the week. 
sunday - didn't even leave the apartment, but got 10 pages of my first paper done!
monday - did 3.58 m on the bike, and walked about 2.2
tuesday - walked about 2.5
today - did 1 mile on a high resistance on the arctrainer (took 1/2 hr, trying to tone those pesky inner thighs!), then walked about 3.

 yeah i finished it monday. just need to proof-read and add my images in before printing it. the one that's due tomorrow.... i have like a page out of 4-5 written lol. i just can't get into it and keep coming on here and facebook instead. oops!
