I had my psych consult today.  Boy was I nervous considering I have OCD, depression and anxiety disorder.  However it went really well and sees no reason why I shouldn't have the surgery.  Now I just have 3 more visits with my primary before submitting to insurance.

 That's a big step! I have mine tomorrow, and I'm pretty nervous, too. Can you share what they asked you? I'm sure each program has a different emphasis, but I feel like I'm going in "blind." Thanks!

 They went through my personal mental history as well as my immediate family's.  Then he ask me what I believe the surgery entails and if I know the possible complications.  And knowing all that why do I still want the surgery.  It was actually pretty straight forward.  If you been reading up on it and thoroughly researched it you should be fine.

I have depression to, mine just asked he i knew what could happen during the surgery. then he said that this was a life change and i said that i knew that. he said ok i was cleared.

I just had mine on Tuesday and I was worried too since I have OCD.  I was so afraid they were going to postpone my last few appts. and ultimately my surgery but she said I seemed like a great candiate.  I was so relieved.  Congrats to you!
