I have completed 1 week on the milk diet. I saw my surgeon yesterday and had lost 12 pounds... it has gotten a little easier but my surgeon says she wants me to lose a little slower so has put me on some protein shakes in the evening. I just wanted to thank everyone on here for being my support group through all of this. 14 days till surgery.. the day I truly thought would never come.

Is your surgeon keeping you on this diet after surgery too? I only ask because some people become lactose intolerant for a short time following surgery. 

I won't be having the same diet after surgery. I will be on a regular full liquid diet. not just milk and water

 12 pounds is just so amazing for one week during preop. Congrats again. I know it can't be easy.
