Ok so...my air conditioning...still isn't working.

And there are a bunch of excuses I could make for not being on top of the landlord and the handy man. I've been super busy TRYING (unsuccessfully) to get this house sold and I've been trying to re-establish a gym routine (in all this "stuff" of my life I've lost my exercise regimen and somehow these days it almost feels like reclaiming it means reclaiming me).

So what it all boils down to is this. The damn A/C still doesn't work upstairs. And Thursday it is supposed to be 102 with a low of 81. The landlord was supposed to have his guy replace the filter on the unit (which I honestly don't think will remedy the problem), so I need to call and make him come do that so it can not work and we can get to the real fix before this heat wave gets too bad.

Sigh.

I hate being a procrastinator. It's been so cool that I kept putting off getting this taken care of once and for all and I hope I don't end up having to sleep in all that heat!

So please...someone nag me tomorrow to make sure I called and raised hell with the landlord!

OK, I'm nagging you to make that phone call!  But if the heat comes early, you won't need us to nag, the heat will do it for you automatically...  Call and call daily!!!!  Tell your landlord that you want the repair guy to be ready to fix the unit if it does not start cooling within 30 minutes of the air filter being replaced...

I should clarify...nag me TOMORROW. Nagging me tonight will only elicit "yes I will!" and then tomorrow I get busy and...???

But I think the threat of this heat (81 is the LOW???) will propel me.

Urgh. I want these issues resolved!!!!

On the plus side, my cat seems to have relearned her role in the household. I was finding signs of mice (you know what I mean) and she got one of 'em!

81 is awesome.  At 81 I start to get chilly and break out the jeans.  ;)

I will try to remind you tomorrow.  Yeah for your cat!  I love it when they do what they are supposed to do!!!!!  My cat took care of one little mouse and I have not seen any other traces of anything since then so I know he keeps my house clear...

The mice...they put it out on Mousebook that there is a crazy cat in the house. Then they all stay away. LOL.

Oy, you made me laugh and my staples hurt.....Yes it is something like that (Mousebook)....  Or could be that that see the crazy cat has not left the building! 

 Okay Nik Call your landlord!!! Get that A/C fixed pronto!

OKay Nik, have you contacted the Landlord yet!  I'll ask again later in the afternoon to check on good news...  Remember the cat will stop working if she gets to hot!!!!  :)

 I called the maintenance guy first since he's supposed to come replace the filter. Got voicemail. If I don't hear from him by noon, I call the landlord to tell him the maintenance guy is unresponsive.

Okay, I'm a Texan and we run the AC in the winter.

GET THAT DAMN THING FIXED!  Oy.  How does one even LIVE without AC?  :)

I have not heard, has your AC been fixed yet?  Call the landlord again if not working....

 Update: the maintenance guy is out of town. The landlord asked me if my stepdad (who does HVAC) could take a look. He said he could. So now I have to nag him about it.

Good news: someone I trust is on the case!

Bad news: I'm probably going to have to suffer through this round of heat before it is fixed.
