Cheeseburger pie sounds good, how do you make it?

I don't know if it's the same one I make, but the one I make is the recipe on the bisquick box.
Ingredients:
Servings: 8 Servings Size
1 lb lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
dash pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs
Directions:
1Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray.2In 10-inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown, drain. Stir in salt, spread in pie plate and sprinkle with cheese.3In small bowl, mix remaining ingredients with fork or wire wis****il well blended. Pour in pie plate.4Bake 25 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Watermelon water?! Yum!!  How do you make THAT?!  I want some!
Breakfast-vanilla protein, soy and pb 2 shake and later an iced coffee
Lunch- low carb wrap w/ turkey ham, provolone, pickles and mustard.
Snacks- banana and 1/2 quest bar
Dinner- not sure yet....

I do so well with eating during the day, and then I go home and the grazing begins.  I need to stop this habit!  Last night it was Tostitos w/ onion dip.  I got a horrible tummy ache after eating them too.  But do you think I learned my lesson?  No... if there were more, I'm sure I'd be eating more again today.  Luckily, the chips & dip are all gone now.

Breakfast - plain greek yogurt w/ splenda & strawberries
Snack - banana w/ 1 tbsp PB
Lunch - egg salad on a sandwich thin
Snacks - cottage cheese & beef jerkey
Dinner - grilled chicken breast, roasted sweet potatoes, grilled zucchini

Same here.  At work I'm pretty much stuck with whatever I plan and pack - and I'm perfectly content!  But get home where there's more options and I want to go crazy eating this and that...

Wednesday! That means by the end of the day I will be more than half way finished with my poverty eating challenge! WOOT! (I cannot WAIT for this to be over)

Today ketosis has set in I think. I can taste it. Ugh. And my metabolism has slowed down. It was HARD for me to wake up this morning and even harder to walk the three blocks from my parking lot to my job. That is a serious ego blow for someone who is ordinarily able to run a couple of miles. I just keep reminding myself that once I resume nourishing my body properly I will feel better. But then that brings the awareness that the people I am doing this in remembrance of don't get that same relief. I think I need to journal a bit about that.

Anyhoo...my plan today is not that different than the last few days, I just re-order the food:

1. Two eggs, as an egg pancake, with caramelized onions
2. 1 c. curried lentils over cauliflower rice
3. 1/2 c. curried lentils with 1/2 c. chickpeas mixed in

This plan comes up to:

571 calories
12g fat
79g carbs
29g fiber (so 50 net grams carbs)
42g protein

I think that's my highest total yet so I must be "getting the hang of this." I think that's bad, though. I don't want to get the hang of this. I just want it to be over!

What should you eat for dinner tonight? How do you make a good protein shake? And just exactly what IS quinoa? The answers to all this and more can be found at Bariatric Foodie!

Does your BMF show a difference in burn?  THAT would have added an interesting twist to this experiment - to see if decreased intake really does trigger a "starvation" mode in the body and it shuts things down to conserve energy burn...

My day is kind of up in the air, but this is what I've had so far and what I "plan":

Coffee
B - 2 mozz sticks and some pb crackers
L - meat and veggies
S - yogurt
D - meat and veggies
water

I have gotten seriously hooked on the sugar free, skinny, decaf mocha frappaccino at Starbucks. I had two yesterday...not going there today!
I dunno if you know this but Frappucinos are not completely sugar-free (unless this is a new thing). There's sugar in the base they use for it. I found that out the hard way.

Well, I dump pretty easily, and although I get the tall (small), it would still make me dump if it had *much* sugar in it. I don't know. Either way, I'm sure it's not a good addiction to have.
Fair enough. Just thought you should know!

My very first dump was on a Frapp. When I went to 'Bux they told me there was a SF Frapp and I got one. Got horribly sick, called 'Bux who told me there is sugar in the base and apologized profusely that I was told otherwise. A very large gift card followed in the mail.

Now I pretty much stick to regular coffee there with SF syrups and I watch them like a hawk as they prepare it.

I just went to their site and tried to build the frapp the way I ordered it and was unable to get the nutritional information. I am going to email them and see what I can find out.

Way to go on the gift card tho!
I've called out 'Bux many times on the blog for their shoddy nutrition information reporting. Report back!

(Oh and when you call, even if you don't say it, allow them to believe you are asking about sugar because you are severely diabetic. Somehow they will KILL themselves to get to that information if they think you are.)

A tall skinny frap has 110 calories, 21 sugars but only 3 grams of protein.  That tells me that not many of those sugars come from milk - because it doesn't look like there is much milk in it.  "Skinny", according to Starbucks, just means fat free not sugar free.

Conversely, a skinny cafe mocha has 110 calories, 12 grams of sugar and 11 grams of protein.  That tells me that almost all, if not all, of the sugar comes from milk.  The tall iced version is even better - 70 calories, 8 sugars and 7 grams of protein!

I like both the skinny mocha or the skinny cinnamon dolce latte (decaf of course).

I have to get control. Seriously. Last night was another total food fest. I do ok through the day and then at night I eat. And eat. And eat. Last night it involved strawberries, 2Tbs peanut butter, LOTS of triscuit crisps and 1/4 quest bar.
So since I am always honest here, I am begging you guys to blow me out of the water when I post about eating crazy. PLEASE be "mean", kick my butt, call me out on the carpet.... whatever you need to do.
I am going to try setting an 11pm eating curfew. I can eat up until 11pm and then nothing. That will not only hopefully curb the food fests, but also will give me the 2hr break so I can take my iron more reliably.

B - mint cookie w/ water; chicken sausage
L - WW Waffle, peanut butter, berries, turkey bacon
S - 3/4 quest
D - turkey bacon, P28, tomato, mayo; maybe some cucumber or carrots
S - berries, maybe w/ cottage cheese
Have you ever thought about PLANNING the majority of your intake for the evening?

I did that for a long time until I got a handle on night eating. Interestingly enough, when I plan it, 9 times out of 10 I don't eat it (something about the planning deters me...dunno what it is).

But I'd plan a shake for breakfast, a small lunch, then about 3 mini-meals for the evening. On average I'd tend to eat 2 out of those 3.

Just a thought.

I am willing to try anything.  I was talking to my mom and told her I am going to have to start working on more dense protein later in the day. I eat a lot of fish, shrimp, eggs... and they just don't seem to hold me very long. Today I am trying to limit calories to kind of take the sting away from yesterday.
I wonder if it is my being so restrictive with calories that makes me so hungry. Or if it is just my cravings. Last night I was full after my lunch at home, but when it was "time" to eat, I did. And that started me on the craving train.  My NUT hates giving calorie boundaries, but she relented and said 1500. I don't know if that is taking into account my exercise and I try to keep it below that.
