Has anyone doc.told them they could shallow pills at 4 weeks!!!!!
My surgeon said that if a pill was the size of a pencil eraser (in diameter) or smaller I could take it whole, or cut if larger, after two months any pills but time release, those don't ever work proper

I was told I could swallow any pill the size of a pencil eraser (or smaller) since the surgery.

HW 351 SW 314 CW 157 ~ Surgery Day 6/5/12 - The first day of the rest of my life!

I have been swallowing pills since my sugery.  I split the bigger ones in half per doctors orders in the beginning but now I can them whole.  No problems.  Make sure you get approval from your own doctor.  Jane

I swallowed my script pills in the hosital the night of surgery.  Larger calcium citrate pills were the ones that gave me issues. Even splitting them cause them to "get stuck" due to the sharp edges where the pill was cut. I find I can swallow calcium citrate capsules much easier. Even though almost identical size, the capsules go down much easeir due to the rounded edges. DAVE

My doc prescribed pain pills etc for after surgery so I'm assuming I could (if I could swallow pills but I can't so I get liquid or chewables)

5' 3" - HW: 244 SW:234  GW:120 CW:109 Made goal 3/16/13!

My surgeon had me taking potassium pills, about the size of a calcium supplement, while I was in the hospital. He told me if he prescribed it I should take it. I don't always listen to my doctors, but I did this time and I was fine.

Met my first goal, met my second goal, met my surgeons goal. Now I have a new goal!

I was swallowing pills in the hospital about 12 hours after my surgery.
