Did You?

How many of you bought goal pants. 1 pair for each stage? ;)

my husband for christmas bought me size 21, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12. one of each pair. (so i wouldnt have to worry about not having pants and so i wouldnt have to live in sweat pants!) he also bought me bariwere, and the book "calorie king"  (i swear he has more faith in me then i do my self some days!) he also Put all the pants but the 21, and 18's he says he is gonna take a new pair out when each get to big :)

And i found out today that my Mother bought me a lot of pants off ebay from sizes 18-10's it has 25 pairs of pants all together :)  my husband said he is going to put them away also. ^.^

for me when i step on the scale means little. im happy my family is here to support me... but it made me wonder...

did anyone else buy pants to keep them on track? ^.^

Awwww.   What a great hubby!   I have!  I mostly already have sizes down from previous diet attempts but bought some really cute dresses at lower sizes and can't wait to fit into them

:D i dont think iv ever enjoyed wearing a dress.. i hope i can some day :D
I bought things as I needed them, not ahead of time. Because we may lose more in some spots than others, having other people buy clothes for you (especially pants where the waist, hips, and crotch all have to fit properly) may be problematic. Do not be surprised if, for example, the size 14s fit in the hips for quite a while but never quite fit right in the waist and crotch or another size fits in the waist but the hips are always too big or too small until the waist no longer fits. You may also skip a size completely.

For me, trying pants on was a "must" because I wasn't comfortable wearing ill-fitting pants to work. It is easier wih skirts and dresses..

I didnt ask them to buy them for me, they just did it to be nice lol. But my grandmother is a seamstress so if Any of the pants dont fit me right she can fix them. :) she already made my 22's, 2 sizes smaller for me ^.^
Nice ot know someone who can alter your clothing. If it doesn't fit, I don't get it. If it loses a button, I pitch it (or donate it so those who can sew a button can fix it). I'm incapable of fixing even a lost button. (I hurt two joints in my hands, thumb joints, that were injured, so grasping is one of my lost skills. I pick stuff off the floor without using thumbs, or it stays on the floor if my thumbs are involved)

I did... And I ended up returning several pairs because I was getting smaller before the numbers went down on the scale... I also had problems because apparently not only was there a skinny person inside trying to get out but one who needed junior sizes and not misses for them to fit right... Congratulations it's awesome to have a supportive family!!!

Well i have a few different things i can do with the pants that get to small, Donate them, give them to friends, have my grandmother make them smaller, or Re sell them. lol but i havnt thought about that. there supportive :)
Aww how sweet. I love that he thinks ahead. I think he's a keeper.
yep he is doing what ever it takes to prove he is there for me. such a dork :)
My night job, I work at Macys ... I picked up a couple cheap shirts from the junior dept. Thats it though. Ill prob shop at consignment shop until I get to goal weight.

i do need to get some new shirts XD
I've hit up the clearance section at JCPenneys when my jeans get too loose..I've gotten pretty good deals. On the other side of the coin when I'm at higher end stores I will go and try on designer jeans just to get that good feeling and to take a picture sometimes lol...but those will be on hold until I level off.

yeah i WILL NOT be buying ANY brand new clothing until i get to goal :)

for now im content with hand me downs, what ever my mom bought me (cant wait for them to get here!) and what my husband bought for me :)
I hate shopping. I've always hated shopping.

I knew someone on here about six months ahead of me, and she and I had the Exact Same Body Type. She would send me her castoffs, and I'd send her shipping money plus some, and she kept me supplied in 18s, 14s and 12/10s. I didn't wear the in-between sizes.

I also had a coworker (whom I always thought was a little tiny thing) who saw me as I worked to lose the weight, and she asked me what my size was when I was a 14 and since she was a 12, she gave me her castoffs. When she got down to size 8, I got her 10's and 12s and let me tell you, this woman is a clothes horse. When she gave me her 10s (that she'd only been wearing for about 6 months)..... she gave me 50 bleeping pairs of slacks!... all high end labels. I don't think she wore them more than once each. I've thickened a bit in the thighs so they're a bit tight, so I intend to exercise a bit and hopefully take off five pounds of thigh flab and fit back in them in the fall. (already being slightly successful more than half of them 'fit again').

But I never presumed I'd get to a size 14, or a size 12  or a size 10..... to me I was content to get smaller and healthier.

My cousin is sending me clothing Sizes 18-12's, plus the clothing my mother bought me  18-10's PLUS the 4 pairs my husband has hidden. i have a feeling some of them are gonna fit me and some wont. :P what ever size i get down to i will be happy. and even more happy knowing i have pleanty of clothing to choose from ;)

my clothing now? i have 3 pairs of pants i can wear. and thats it. :( so it makes me feel happy knowing ill get the chance to try clothing on and feel good about my self :)

i HATE shopping I will not go shopping for new clothing until i am done losing :)
I hate shopping too. In fact, my recent small regain is MORE about shopping than about weight. I still see the same person in the mirror, but if I don't get back down to... well... the weight I was three days ago (I'm four pounds lighter than I was trying for now, or my scale is broke).... I would have to buy new clothes.

When I was losing with my six month supervised diet, I just 'wore baggy". I got a new clothing influx during the first summer vacation and when I went back to work, I was wearing fitting clothing. Perhaps it was the summer break that meant people really didn't notice the weight loss much. I had more people notice my switch from 14s to 12s than noticed my switch from 28s to 18s!

Didn't buy  goal pants, but I had a lot of older  stuff (in assorted smaller sizes) stored in tubs in my basement that I pulled out. Between that and stuff my sister sent me that she had blown through on her way down the scale, I started out after surgery with three big tubs of clothes to  work my way into.     And since both sis and I are clothes horses and have zero resistance to bargains, we both had clothing in smaller sizes that still had tags on them.....back from days of wishful thinking.

I'm down to just two tubs of too-small clothing and have removed at least two tubs of clothing that is now too big from my closet.  Every weekend now, I spend one morning, trying on stuff that was too small  the week earlier and finding new things to wear that week and cleaning out another batch of stuff from the closet.   It makes me so happy, I am practically giddy.

that is amazing! :) i hope i feel that way trying on new sizes ;)

I think it's great that your Hubby did that. That is not something my Hubby would ever do in a million years!!!

I have three daughters living at home that wear sizes 14, 16,  18, I just told them I was going to raid their closets when I needed to!!  They just laugh at me

I'm set for jeans until I lose enough weight to need something smaller than a 16 and the youngest daughter that is a size 14 doesn't own a pair of jeans and will not wear jeans. She only wears skirts.
