3 Year Surgiversary (X-Post)

Wow...time has flown! My new life has me so active I just don't seem to have time to do everything I want to do. It has been such a long time since I have loved exercising and I love it so much again. I am 49 and I can run a mile in about 5:45. I can out-hike my wife and children. I have stopped my self-loathing. I finally went after my dream career and started my own business. My weight has maintained itself at goal. I have remained off of all medication and my cardiologist has stated that all my heart disease is now gone.

It was a very rocky ride (for reasons other than WLS) but I am so thankful to have arrived at a place where I love myself, and I love life.

To all of my OH friends, thank you SO MUCH for all of your support.

Together, we can do this!!!
Congratulations!  You are a year ahead of me.  This is what it's about.  It's doing the deal day after day, eating right and staying active, and sticking around and showing us how it's done.  Thanks!

LOL!  So true!
You are a true success story, Chris.  You are a mentor to us all.  Plus you are handsome!!!!!  :)  Am I allowed to do that in this politically correct world?  I hope so because just as women are pretty men can be handsome!!!    Jane keeping cool in California
Oh Jane, thank you so much!  And you can call me handsome anytime you want!  ;)
Out of curiosity, did you have any plastic surgery?  You look astounding in your 3 year pics, I don't think I've ever seen such weigh loss with so little "saggy" skin!

Amanda, I have not had any plastics.  And thank you so much for your kind words. My saggy skin seems to have really tightened up with all the ab exercises I do.  Again, thank you!!!

Thanks for the post. I'm 6 weeks out of surgery and I need to see examples like to this let me know dreams coming true and are possible to become a reality!!!

Congratulations you look wonderful and Yes HANDSOME!!!!
