Feeling hungry

I'm 3 weeks out & I still don't get hungry.  It's hard to remember to eat.  Does the feeling of being hungry ever come back?  It's so weird as before my surgery I was hungry all the time.  I do have to Amit it's nice not feeling hungry

Um, yeah, it does.  Enjoy it while it is gone.

You are healing from major surgery and lots of nerves were cut.  It took me about a year to feel real hunger again.  But I never got hungry like before-now I guess I get "normal people" hungry.

Just set a timer and follow your plan.

Yes, unfortunately it comes back. Enjoy this time you have not feeling hungry.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life!!
I was well over a year before I felt physical hunger.  I had to 'eat by the clock' for a while, or I wouldn't get the nutrition I needed.  "oh, it's 2 pm-- I forgot to have lunch"-- never happened prior to WLS!

I can only speak for myself ... I NEVER feel hungry like I felt hungry before shoot I may get carried away and distracted doing something and then start feeling lightheaded and I KNOW I better eat something ... I make sure I plan and prepare my meals and make myself eat in a timely manner to avoid this ... and STILL sometimes ... a lot of times ... I get carried away because I am almost always distracted with something or another ...

I would say hunger does come back but it is a totally different feeling/signal for some.

Enjoy it while it lasts...
