I am still waiting for my surgery date for RNY; in the meantime, I had a detached retina and had to have surgery on my left eye.....scared because all I see is just BLURRY vision. I can see the rim of my glasses and that's it! Just wanted you all to know why I haven't been on here for a bit. Appt is on 8/1 to check the progress.

 Oh, gosh, that's a setback. I hope it improves soon! Was it a spontaneous event or were you injured?

No injury....saw black floaters and two spots and went to eye doc (who didn't put in the drops to dilate my eyes cause I was going back to work, but cautioned me if spots got worse or light flashing, to go to ER) I had terrible headache next day and went to work on Sat to make up some time & something happened & got worse---more floaters & changed to black spots everywhere....Sunday went to ER and next morning to eye specialist---surgery the next day. Scary.
