When recipes say protein powder...

When a recipe calls for protein powder, are they meaning an Unjury type powder or soy protein?  I was thinking about making the "fool yourself cookies" that was posted on here a few days ago and I'm not sure what kind of protein powder I'm suppossed to use.

I don't know for sure, and I don't even know that it makes any difference, but because so many more people use whey than soy protein powder, my guess is that the recipe assumes a whey-based powder.

I don't think in this instance it is going to matter. Whey or soy should work just as well. Normally if they want you to use something besides an unflavored protein the recipe will specify the flavor they used (and sometimes suggestions on others that you might want to try) but other than that you should be able to use whatever one you have a preference for.

And the recipe looks pretty good, I might have to try this one, thanks!

Thanks for the info! I'll get some whey powder tomorrow.
