So happy with myself

For the past week I have gotten really serious about working out.  at first I did a little now and then, mostly swimming during the summer and a little walking here and there and maybe 5 min 2 times a day on the elliptical.  For the past 2 days I have been able to do 40 min straight on the elliptical and I have been doing my wii fit routine.  Before loosing some of this extra weight I never imagined doing all this excersise.  I would do it maybe 1 day and then not again for a long time because my body hurt so bad, but now I embrace that pain and push though it and I am really happy with myself.  Sorry I just had to gloat a bit :)  I LOVE MY NEW SELF!!

That is awesome!  A good, consistent exercise program is one of the main keys to long term good health and weight management.

Continue to challenge yourself and find new fitness goals!  The sky is the limit, you can do anything you put your mind to!

I have been watching you on MFP and you are doing great. It is nice to be able to do things normal people do again isn't it? I swim 3 days a week and ride my bike 2 or 3 days a week. My wife is trying to ride a bike with me but she was injured years ago and has to kind of learn all over again. We use to go real wild biking all over the West Coast until she got hurt we went on some real scary rides but now 16 years later we are both a lot older and the old bones do not want to work like they did.

Get into a habit of something you like to do, that you will do each day. The rule I know is true is move or die. Here in my state, if you don't keep moving outside, you will rust kind of like the tin man.

You should be proud of yourself. I haven't had surgery yet but have been walking to get into the habit of exercise. When I started I could barely do 20 minutes but now I am up to 40 minutes nearly every day. I can't wait til I get some weight off and can try new excercise routines without so much pain. Then I should really enjoy it! I really feel like exercise that we enjoy is so important in losing and keeping off the weight!
