driving

 how soon can we drive ??

I was released to drive by my surgeon at 8 days after surgery.

I was told as long as I've been off the narcotics for 24hrs.

My surgeon told me 10 days. It was rough just getting in and out the car. Ooh if the roads are bumpy, brace yourself. Hopefully your experience is pain free!!!

I drove to work after 7 days and had been off pain meds since day 4

I was told that as long as I was confortable do it, which if I remember about 7 days much to the annoyance of my caring wife who was not happy to say the least

I was told as long as I didnt have hydrocodone bouncing around my blood stream. I coulda drove day 3 if pushed . I waited until day 5.

thank you all ...just curious because i will already be missing 3 days of school and dont want to miss more than i have too

Doc said 24 hrs after off pain meds(narcotics). Just riding kills me (holy cow, the roads are bumpy).
