Magnesium Oxide!

Hi All!!

I have posted on here before about what people do for constipation. I have since added metamucil in the mornings and 2 MagOx 400 pills to my daily routine. One pill at lunch and one at dinner. This is only working semi-okay. Was wondering what dosage most people take of the magnesium to help them go?

I've never tried metamucil myself, but I heard that it balls up in our pouches. I use benefiber. I used to use magnesium, but I havent used it recently. I think I need to start again!

I have understood that metamucil is not to be use for us.  I use Miralax and two MagOx 400 pills daily and have solved my bathroom issues completely.  Miralax is safe to use daily.  You can even get a doctor's prescription for it to get it cheaper if you have a drug card with your insurance coverage.

I also 100% solved my constipation problem (for over a year now!) with Mag-OX.

I take 2 at bedtime and never, ever use a generic (meaning, I always buy Blaine brand Mag-OX).

My Dr. helped me figure this out and is the one *****commended they both be taken at bedtime.

I use Metamucil Clear &Natural. It is a white powder that mixes clear into almost anything liquidi**** is inulin fiber and my surgeon approves of this or polyethylene glycol (miralax). I use 1tablespoon every morning on my decaf.
I also use colace, a stool softener, with each calcium dose.
This has been very effective in preventing constipation for me.
I have considered mag oxide for leg cramps, but have not given it a try yet.
