Acid Reflux 8 months out from RNY

I had my RNY on Oct 22, 2012 and have lost 85.5 pounds. In the last couple of weeks I've been having acid reflux pain (burning in my throat). I started back on Nexium (took for six months after RNY) two day ago is there anything else I can take to help with the pain till the Nexium kicks in? I sent my nurse an email this afternoon to see what all I should be doing and have not heard back yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have been having terrible problems with heartburn and reflux and I take the extra strength liquid gaviscon. It tastes like toothpaste but it has worked for me. And it works fast

My ins won't pay for Nexium so I am taking OTC generic Zantac 75mg. I was told by the nurse and the pharmacist that I can take 2 of them twice a day. It has helped and is pretty cheap from WalMart.

What kind of pain are we talking? I thought I was just having heartburn for a while but then started having stomach pain and found out I had ulcers! If you are having pain I would suggest having your doctor check you out!
