1000 Calorie Diet
What are you allowed to eat? Every doctor has their own plan. I'm allowed chicken, turkey and fish, cooked veggies and fruit. I can have cheese but it doesn't count towards my protein.
One of my favorites is to pound chicken tenders until they're really thin (chicken tenders or cut boneless skinless breasts into smaller pieces) then wrap them around pieces of string cheese. (cut the cheese into pieces) Brush the chicken rolls with olive oil and then sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until cooked - about 20-30 minutes. Top with marinara sauce and serve.
You get a lot of bang for your buck eating lean meats and green leafy veggies. Keep your carb low-ish and make your protein top priority.
I ate lots of chicken, pork loin and seafood with broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower and asparagus for pre-op weight loss diet.
