I made my appointment when I was having problems with the pain with my upper stomach and the pain on top of my feet, but lately not bothering me. I see the Dr Friday but right now no pain so what should I ask the Dr to check for ? I could not get in when I was having the pain problems but I know it will return because it comes and goes when ever it wants. The Dr will probably say it was nothing because I'm not experiencing the pain at this time but I don't want her to overlook it. It's not my fault they never see me when I call for appointment when I'm having the pain.

You are asking people on the internet who are not doctors to diagnose you. This is not advisable or possible. When you have your doctor's appointment, just describe what you've been feeling, clearly and without leaving anything out. Let him or her know of often you've had the pain, where, what kind of pain it is (sharp, dull, intense or achy), when it happens, everything you can think of about it. Then let your doctor do what doctors are trained to do: diagnose and attempt to treat.

I just asked for advise, but I know the Dr will check me.

Ask your doctor what she should check for.  Since she'll actually be examining her, and since she has your medical history, and since she is a doctor, she'll be in a better position to know than we are.

Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR.  If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor.  Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me.  If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her.    Check out my blog.

I would definitely mention it again - give it a number (1-10) and be specific if anything seems to trigger it, what does it feel like etc ...  Be prepared to describe it well!

I know some doctors can be dismissive, but you deserve to be able to give them symptoms and expect them to discuss it with you!

Let us know how you get on.

Keep your appointment.

Just because your pain isn't manifesting now doesn't mean it won't come back.  Explain to your doc what happened earlier and like someone else said, be able to give the prior pain a number.

At least that's what I would do.  That way it's documented if it comes up again and you won't have to start from zero.  Pain is a funny thing and seems to have a mind of it's own. My own tummy pain has flucuated from a 4 to about a  12.  I'd rather go through childbirth.  It's taken five months to eliminate all causes that can be external and I finally get to see the surgeon.  I wish I'd seen the doc when it started sporadically about a year ago.

Pain means something is wrong somewhere. Don't cancel your appt - it may take awhile to get an answer and at least you'll have a head start.

Good luck. I wouldn't wish pain  (at any level) on my worst enemy.
