Spicy Food?

I have no issues about giving up the extra portion or the sweets or the soda...but I'm worried about the heat. So, question: Can those who have had the surgery tell if spicy food will be a problem?

It's not a problem for me. I don't think anyone can know if it will be a problem for you, though. You'll have to try it and see.

I LOVE spicy foods...crave them now...they seem to agree best with me...maybe more bang for the buck? It's mostly a try and see thing. Best of luck on your journey!

Not an issue for me even 3 months after surgery which was when the dr let me eat meat for the first time. Had extreemly hot buffelo sauce

Pouchy loved spicy foods from the get-go, no problems here.

Although for some weird reason he doesn't like mustard anymore... even more than 2 years out, I have to be very careful with it.

6 weeks post-surgery and nothing hot has bothered me yet. Now, I admit I have not had a jalapeno...... I am with you though....take your sweets, take your sodas but dang! leave me spice!
