What's on the menu today, RNYers?
Hello hello! Another day, another thread to share what everyone is planning to eat for the day. Thanks to everyone who participates here, I think it's really helpful for folks to see what some sample meal plans look like for RNY people. It's great that we can share ideas, recipes, and inspirations here! If you've been thinking about posting your daily menu here, please jump in! For some people, this is a great way to be accountable to themselves and to learn to plan so that they're not taken by surprise and end up making poor food choices.
It's looking to be a grey day here, hope the sun is shining where you are. I've got spring cleaning to do in the basement today and the lawn sprinkler people are coming to turn the system on again after winter shutdown. I'm trying to decide how to prepare the chicken I want to cook, I'm sure I want to throw it in the crock pot but I'm having trouble deciding which recipe I want to use. Decisions, decisions!
So for today, not feeling much hunger and hopefully it will stay that way for most of the day. Here's the plan, subject to change as always:

Good Morning! We had bad weather last night and will have it again today! Thankfully, everyone was safe in our area. Unfortunately not everyone can say that in the South. My prayers are with them! Hope everyone has a safe, good day. Pam, I hope you eat even though you do not feel like it. Your body needs the nutrients. Take care of yourself!

Sara, your protein keeps going up and your carbs keep going down! Nice work!

You GO SARA! Awesome numbers today, keep up the great work!!
Good morning, good morning! Today is Gym Day - yippe! It is also a grey day here. Pam, remind me, what part of the country are you in?
Last night I tried Eggface's grilled ham and cheese sticks, though I used deli chicken instead of ham - it didn't go well. No foamies, but just generally didn't sit well - apparently I'm not quite ready for it. You live, you learn. Or maybe I just ate too fast, not sure. The fire alarm in my building went off right as I was ready to start making dinner, so that threw everything off and when I finally made dinner I was too hungry. Also, there was no actual fire AND I really don't like that I'm feeling hungry again, though to be fair at that point it had been like 7-8 hours since I had eaten so...
Not exactly sure how my schedule is going to work today as I have a work meeting at 5pm and am committed to a trip to the gym. Dinner pre or post gym? That is the question!
Time since surgery: 6 weeks today!

S: 12oz Lemon Tea Nectar protein shake
TOTALS: Calories 613, Fat 13.8, Carbs 26. 9, Protein 99.6
V: on track
E: gym day!
W: working on it - yesterday I got to 76oz, which is a personal best post-surgery, so I'm going to try to keep up today!
I've been looking at my protein from meals only and I'm totally in awe of you folks who get so much protein without any shakes! I know I'm early on and I'm following my surgeon's plan, but I'm already getting nervous about when I cut down on the shakes. I'm going to be paying close attention to how you all do it.

Anny, I am almost 5 years out and am going through weight loss phase right now. I normally do not eat this much protein. I am phasing out my protein, beginning the middle of this week. But I will always supplement with a protein bar or shake during the day to give an extra boost during the day because I do not eat a lot of meat or eggs. FYI!

Hi Anny! I like that I can see you now! You were all like before.
I'm in the St. Louis area in Missouri.
I have no personal experience with this, but unless you have a very, very light dinner you may be better off having it after you work out. Working out on a full stomach or pouch seems to be no bueno from what I've read. Great job on the water, keep it up!

Pam, I'm not going to lie, that ninja emoji makes me want to go back to the other picture. This one is super dark, I need to take one when the light is better!
RNY @ Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia with Dr. Tatyan Clark 3/18/2014
Nooo, don't go back! Just take another one when you get a chance. Yeah, the one you're using now is a bit dark, but it's still obviously you. I like that.
