Morning, Daze! Sorry to hear you're feeling punky and that the scale isn't moving. I had to give my scale to the husbeast to hide; it wasn't moving, and I was going to MAKE it move...by throwing it through a window! I guess I need to be one of those people who only weigh once a week. *sigh*
Tandoori chicken sounds so yummy right now, it's making my mouth water. I should look for a crock pot tandoori-style chicken recipe, or even a chicken tikka masala. I've become a total convert to the crock pot method, it's the only thing that makes chicken and pork moist and tender enough for me to eat. I'll be working on the pork tenderloin I did for another day or so, it's so juicy and delicious. Tenderloin is so lean that it's a good choice IMO, but that made it a little problematic...in the crock pot, no problem!

I'm feeling you ladies on the scale! I'm sooo close to 50 pounds lost, but the scale hasn't moved since Saturday! As we all know, it will move again, we're working hard, but it IS frustrating. I normally keep my scale out in my bedroom, but I slide it under the bed this morning - out of sight, out of mind? Maybe? I hope!

Anny, first 50 lbs (or damn close to it) lost is so awesome! I love how good you are doing, proud of you! And Kudos on hiding the scale, I applaud your "out of sight, out of mind" theory. I would call my name while I am sleeping and I would not be able to resist! Kinda like the Princess and the Pea story, I would know it was there under the bed! LOL
Keep you the great work!
Funny, Daisy! I know the feeling. Anny, you've got this. Remember you have been working out so you have been building muscle and sculpting. So you have been losing inches. Have you taken your measurements in a while? You might want to try doing that so you can see how far you have come!
“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack

Thanks, Daisy! Just to be clear, it's "only" 30 pounds since my surgery - which I'm totally happy with, just don't want anyone to have unrealistic expectations!

Anny you can't say that!!! 30 lbs divided by 6 weeks is 5lbs a week!! That is wicked awesome! I think you are doing wonderful and wish you would give yourself more credit. I have no expectations for any of my OH friends (lots for myself) but you know your body, your lifestyle and what works for you so I say GOOD ON KID!!
No, no! I meant like pre-op or even newer newbies than me getting the impression that they should be able to lose 50 pounds in 6 weeks (I mean maybe some people could, but...)! I am TOTALLY happy with my weight loss far and am so grateful for every pound.
