Oh my I have to attend a wedding 4 weeks after my rny. What can I eat.
It depends a lot on what your doctor's plan says you can eat at four weeks. Four weeks, for me, meant soft foods. I don't know that I would have found anything at a wedding that could fit the bill...a couple of bites of mashed potatoes? A creamed/pureed soup? Do you have any information about the menu choices for guests yet?

I am at four weeks and at my last visit I was told to eat most things except raw veggies. I try different things but the most importnt thing is to chew, chew, chew! The other thing to remember is to not expect to be that hungry. I went out to dinner tonight with my wife and ate some hommus, a little pitta bread and a bite of chicken before I was full.
Eat food before, chit chat, enjoy the location and dance the night away! Wedding food is generally pretty rich, butter sauces, etc. (maybe some cheese) you don't really want to try too much for the first time in a public place... puking with a party dress on is not a good look ;) It gets way better later on... in fact you won't think much about it a year out and beyond but 4 weeks... yeah I wouldn't chance much... eat before and dance.

P.S. Congrats to the happy couple.
I'm a wedding photographer I got sick at literally every wedding I tried to eat at the first 6 mo. and I stuck to just protein, but it's typically so dry. I ended up taking protein shakes after the first couple, tried to eat again a couple months later and went back to shakes repeat repeat ugh. Take something with you or much before you go.
