Why would you need to pack your scale for an eight day trip?

I pack a scale wherever I go. Even packed it to Singapore. I'm camping now, and have a scale in my motor home. Never leave home without it cuz I will always eat more than I should if I don't weigh and measure.

Are you talking about a kitchen scale?  I thought the OP meant a bathroom scale, like to weigh herself, not her food!  Maybe I was mistaken.

I've never weighed by food, though.  I've always measured by volume.

The only scale I could find at Disney was an animal scale.  I used it twice and it helped me relax. I was afraid since I wasn't cooking I might be gaining. I lost 7 pounds in the twelve days I was in Orlando.

Yes, it would be odd to pack your bathroom scale.  If you cannot go a week without weighing, there is a problem developing IMO.

I am unhappy without my bathroom scale.  If I am driving and have room to take it I bring it with me.  I don't pack it when flying.  Weighing daily is my criteria for staying at goal.  It might be over the top, but it works for me.  I don't like using other scales because they can be off and cause me to think I have gained or lost when I have not.
