6 month surgiversary & my birthday!

Today I had a great birthday and 6 month surgiversary. My husband, kids and I went to Memphis for a late lunch at an awesome new tapas place. It was really good. Then we went grocery shopping. When you live in a small town, it's exciting to get to go to the big city to shop for groceries. I got stocked up on protein bars, turkey pepperoni and Greek yogurt! Congratulations on your surgiversary and your birthday too! I,like you live in a tiny little rural town. Some of my hubby and my favorite weekends are trips to International foods in St Louis. We love seeing new and different things. The next place we want to go is Whole Foods!

That's funny. We debated about going to Whole Foods yesterday, but decided on the nice Kroger in Memphis. We have a Kroger about 30 minutes from us, but it's nowhere near as nice as that one. I got to Whole Foods occasionally when I go to Memphis, but it's so expensive I don't like to do "regular" grocery shopping there.

I can empathize.  Like I told my now wife about where we live we're an hour to Tyler, little more than that to DFW, hour and half to Waco and you're two hours back to Conroe (Houston suburbs) to see the grandkids.  If you have to go you can and get back in a day.  Otherwise UPS, FedEx and DHL all deliver.

We do a lot of Amazon subscribe and save for nonperishables, but it's nice to go to somewhere that I can pick between more than 3 flavors of Greek yogurt.
