Hello all, I'm having surgery on Monday and I need help with packing my bag. What should I pack? Thank you for any ideas

Great question.  I am post op as well so I am looking forward to your responses.  I have read that lip balm is pretty essential.  lol

Good luck!  You are going to do great!

Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes to the hospital. Put your phone in one pocket, and phone charger in the other. That's all you need.

I brought my own pillow

Lip balm, comfy clothes to come home in, and something to put between you and the seat belt when you ride home (I used a soft jacket). Good luck!

Lip Balm, your own pillow (in a bright colored pillowcase so you don't forget it when you leave), phone & charger. Wear comfy clothes and shoes in and wear them home. Use the pillow between your tummy and the seatbelt for the ride home. You don't need anything else. I brought my Kindle and never took it out of the bag. My hubby used my phone but I never looked at it.

Keep it simple.  Lip Balm, comfy clothes to wear home, cell phone and charger.  That's it! You won't be gone that long.

Also earplugs and a sleep mask.  The nurses frequently check on your vitals and any other patients in the room, so those two things help you get a little more sleep.

Nursing staff would appreciate brand new or nearly new undergarments/robe/slippers if you choose to bring those.  I pre-made thank you notes to leave for them.  I felt well enough to put on makeup the last day there.  Stretchy waist pants, button down shirt, slip-on shoes, pillow to hold against your tummy for the ride home.  More ideas can be found by doing a search of this site.
