This last week has been hard. My body was fighting me. I would drop, then gain the next day. I am assuming I was going through a stall. I am okay with that, and I didn't let it discourage me. Besides I had so many other things to worry about. We had a 17 year old young man from Taiwan move in with us. He will be with us through the end of the school year, and I was in registration hell as we tried to move him from one school to the one closer to us. He is finally in school today. Had an incredibly busy weekend as well. So when I woke up Saturday, I figured since pants needed to be washed I would try on a few jeans that have been gathering dust in the back of my closet because they became too small a long time ago. They fit!! They were regular 18s. No W behind the number, so when my husband said hey, let's go shopping because our new son likes to do that, I agreed with trepidation. He told me I had 60 to spend because he knew I am in dire need of clothes because they are all becoming too inappropriate for teaching middle school. I was waiting for those looks from the people in the store wondering why the fat girl was shopping in their store, but they never came. While I can see the difference, I still find it difficult to not be the fat girl. I finally decided to try some clothes on in the very last store, and that 16 without a W fit. I almost cried. I just couldn't believe it. Yesterday I went to put on one of the shirts I bought on, and it fit even better than it did on Saturday. I basically bought clothes that were a little tight in hopes that I can wear them much longer.

I love that I can fit in tight places. I love that I have less than 50 to go. I love that I have some energy to do the things I couldn't a year ago. I am loving the new me, and my husband is loving it too. I am also loving that I am having costume fitting issues. They want us to put together our costumes for the musical now, but how can I do that when in 2 months they most likely won't fit. That to me my friends, is a very good problem. Oh and did I mention I am now just obese.

You are doing amazing! It takes a long time to realize that you are not the fat girl anymore,at least it did for me. I had been obese my whole life and being a normal sized person was totally foreign. I still sometimes look at my pants in the morning and can't believe that they actually fit me! Congratulations on all your progress and thanks for sharing your journey with us!

It must be a great feeling losing weight and then having to shop for new clothes.  Keep up the good work, you sound proud and happy

I keep the doors swinging at the local thrift shops! It is definitely the way to go when we are changing sizes so often!

Great job! Isnt it a great feeling when you finally fit into something you never thought you would! Were about the same size and I am having the same issues as far as clothes. Im shrinking faster than I am getting use out of the clothes :) My 18 are a bit loose and a few more weeks.. those are outso. How awesome too that you have a new teenager in your house! Not sure if I envy that yet haha..

It definitely is great problem to have. I shop at the thrift stores too, but we just happened to be at the outlets.

As for the teenager, teenagers are the same wether they are from the U.S. or another continent. He is definitely seeing what he can get away with, but not in a bad way. He is just learning the ways of our life and is having to understand that it can't be all about him and he has to deal with our schedule too.
