Hair Loss
The hair loss is called telogen effluvium, and it happens to most people who have WLS. Their really ain't anything you can do but wait for the hair loss to stop after a few months.
Lots of people opt to cut the hair shorter while losing it because it makes it look fuller if you cut off the "scraggly" stuff at the bottom.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Mine started at 2 months and going strong. Previously when putting in a ponytail, I could only twist the elastic twice, now I have to twist it 4 times. I'm considering going short but a little embarrassed to go to the hair dresser with it all falling out. But everyone says it will stop. Good luck to you!
I am almost 7 months out and mine has kinda tapered off. But you can see a line of hair loss near my forehead. I do take biotin every day.
My hair started falling out at about 3 months....and I never had thick hair to begin with....at 4.5 months I phoned my hair dresser and talked to him about my problem....he was as sweet as he could be and when I went in a week later spent over an hour restyling my hair. It is very short, modern and fun now! And I am 66 years old...a new me in many ways!
Have fun with it and enjoy your new look!
Hang in there! This happens differently to everyone. Mine just started falling out at about 4 months and got so thin that you could totally see the outline of my scalp through my hair. Some people go for a wig, but I just stuck with it. Now I'm not losing any more than I did before the surgery, and I've got bunches of tiny new hairs... the longest are down to my ears, but it is coming back!
