16 days post op - No weight loss for the last 7 days

I know this is a long term process, blah blah blah, but I cannot believe with the strict diet I am following that I have not lost any weight for the last week.  I am scared that this is not going to work for me and I have done all this for nothing.  Per my doctor's plan I am eating 2 oz protein and 1 oz veggies 3x a day and 1 oz cheese, 1 oz fruit 1x a day and 1 protein shake.  How can I not lose for a week?  So discouraged.

Don't fret...we all go thru this. Search "3 week stall" using the magnifying glass upper right corner. Your body is adjusting to the quick weight loss as well as trying to heal from surgery. Just keep following your Dr.s plan and keep up your exercise, vitamins etc. The weight loss will start back up.

Hi! I feel the same as you! I just had my gastric bypass RNY on oct. 15th, I was freaking out because with all the weight I gained from being in the hospital, I've only really lost 11lbs in 2 weeks & now I have been on a stall (already????) for 3 days....I even gained a pound according to the scale this morning.  I  agree it's discouraging when you hear about petrol dropping 20lbs in 2weeks! Lol Maybe we're normal? It just seems t should be more since I'm only eating about 300/400 calories a day.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about at this point.  After my surgery, I was UP 12 pounds.  They said it was from swelling, I.V. fluids, etc.  I saw no weight loss for a full month after my surgery, but then what seemed to be overnight, I had a 25 pound weight loss!  Some people show big loss up front, some take a little while.  It will come; be patient!  :)

Thanks everyone for the kind words of support.  I guess I have no choice but to carry on - just having a rough day I guess.  Thanks all.

I felt that way too. How could I have rearranged my insides and not be losing weight. One week after surgery I went into a 3 1/2 week stall. Thought I was going to lose my mind. I am 3 months and 1 week out now and have lost 55 pounds post-op and 80 total. It will happen.

Thanks! That is exactly what I was thinking.  I did this major thing to my body and its not working.  I'll hang in there :)  So you are 3 months out, do you feel like yourself again?  I am just so low on energy (I am about 2 1/2 weeks out).  I take a shower and am worn out, I do some housework, worn out, go to the store, worn out.  I hate not having any energy.
