Anyone get hiccups as a warning to slow down?

When I eat to fast I get hiccups to slow down. Same as when I'm full. Anyone else?

Yes. More like a hic-urp. A cross between a hiccup and a burp. They can be very loud!  I think they're funny!

yes to all of the above. I went through a hiccup phase for about a month all the time... so annoying. Now only occasionally but now I do notice my nose running....

ME!

It is also a sign that my pouch is approaching full.

It has to do with nerves adn diaphragms (per my surgeon). When I was sipping broth in hospital, I would get the hiccups and that is what he said!

Hiccups to me mean 'stop'.  Not approaching full - but full and likely I have eaten one bite too many.  I really try not to get to this point...and to stop eating the minute I feel some fullness....

Yes!  Well, not when I eat too fast, then I usually get an uncomfortable feeling like a lump in my pouch.  But Yes!  When I am full I certainly do!  That is my notice that there is NO MORE ROOM!  :)  More than a few nibbles after that and I'm going to be uncomfortable.  Like another poster said, it is a red flag.  I have noticed that if I pay attention to my other signals and stop before the hiccups start, then it is still likely that in a couple of minutes I'll get a few (kinda confirmation that I made the right choice to stop!)
