2 weeks post RNY today

I had RNY on11/12 then on 11/18 I went to the OR emergently for other issues. I am home as of Sunday, I am very weak, tired, cold, then hot, confused. I cannot seem to get 6-8 cups of anything in in 24 hours. I keep trying protein mixed drinks, soups, tea, just so tired. I want to sleep all this away. With the holiday long weekend my next appointment is Monday. Any suggestions on how to get my energy up? I have B12/ multi vit/

I was really tired for several weeks after my RNY, and I didn't have an additional surgery like you did.  I think you are still just healing and recovering.  I basically just sipped whenever I was awake, 24/7.  If I awaked to roll over in the middle of the night, I took a few sips of water by my bedside.  Some days cold drinks went down better for me, and other days, warm.  I just went with it.  You might just need some more time, your body has been through a heck of a lot.  Hang in there.  

thank you Karen, I did have a better day, I actually made some unflavored protein mixed in soup and chai tea. Best day so far! Rested better too.

There's no law that says you have to be up and at'em, especially after some visits to the ER.  I always found the advice of "Nap As Needed" to be very effective.
