Condiments & Coffee

I never expected to have trouble eating condiments or drinking coffee, but I do. I didn't realize the satisfaction from these before. It is a strange sensation to get feelings that are unpleasant when you are used to pleasure.
Has anybody else experienced this with other foods?
Smoky flavor makes me gag! Also anything too salty and even sugar free candies are making me nauseaus. It goes with the territory I guess. 8 months out now and a lot has changed.
I find most food just tastes OK, passable but doesn't really taste good. When I get something that really tastes good to me, I get excited. I do find it morphs though, things that I couldn't stomach for a month or so become acceptable again.

I'm with NYMOM. NOTHING tastes like heaven anymore! There are dozens of foods I remember feeling like I couldn't be doing anything better now than eating this food. My eyes would close, I'd say mmmmmm, and I swear I felt true pleasure. I've tried all of those foods, those that weren't specifically stated as off limits by my program, since surgery and get no positive reaction whatsoever. It's just nutrition now. I haven't found anything that gives me pleasure. I don't know if pizza or chocolate would give me pleasure. I'm not putting myself to that test. I'm consciously fostering this feeling that food is not a place to find happiness while I'm in this space where nothing satisfies my hunt for a reward or a warm and fuzzy feeling.
