So post op...What foods do you keep in your car??
This is one of those questions we would ask on this board over the years. It's good for the new people to think about what to plan to have, in case you are stuck in the middle of nowhere. Over the years I would keep in my car or truck things like; beef jerky, different dried nuts, raisins, Cheerios, a rye cracker. Those last two are in case I get nauseous or am throwing up...Settling the stomach. Some of those things won't last long during the summer months...They'll go bad. And I don't keep a lot, just a small amount as a back up. One security blanket I have in my car (truck) is a can of chicken or beef vegetable soup (with a pop top lid). If I am really stuck somewhere, and need protein, I could go to it for a back up. I use to keep a protein bars in the car...But they would go bad so quickly, that I don't bother anymore. I also keep an extra water bottle in the car. So, post op...What are your backup go to foods??
Protein bars. They keep for several months. I try to buy ones that don't have chocolate coating that will melt and get messy, at least in the summer.

Great post!
I don't currently have anything in my car, but I've been thinking about it putting together a little emergency snack pack. I think I want to include some jerky, packs of nuts and a few synthrax nectar individual protein powder packs.

I don't keep food in my car (too hot in Florida!) but I do take food when I travel or on a long work day. Standards are hard boiled eggs, a ready to drink protein shake, fruit, and a baggie of raw veggies. Most protein bars are too high in carbs for me, or have too much sugar, so I have learned to steer clear of these for the most part.

Amen, it's too hot here in FL in the Spring and Summer to keep any food in the car. Even a bottle of water left in the car in this heat is very warm to the touch after baking in the heat all day. Food would spoil right away. I do not keep any food in the car. I have always sworn an egg could fry on the sidewalk in the middle of summer here, but I have never checked it out.
