Flaky flaky flaky (scalp)

Since surgery, my scalp just does not seem clean, even right after I wash and style. Lots of dandruff, and also my scalp just looks really flaky. Is this to be expected? Does anyone have a favorite shampoo for this? Or a recommendation for a good scalp scrubbing tool?
Probably due to not enough healthy fat in your diet.

What Kelly said, add some healthy fats to your diet.
Clean up what is there with dandruff shampoo. I like Wen with Tea Tree Oil, but that is expensive. You can use Head and Shoulders or something else from the drugstore. I find rinsing with vinegar and water helps too.
When I did hair years ago, I used to dissolve two aspirins in a cup of warm water and work that into a very flaky scalp before shampooing.

Thank you for the ideas and advice from a former hair pro. :-) . I am excited to try the aspirin trick. A side benefit: a use for all those aspirin I cannot swallow any more!
It may also be another condition, such as sebhorreic dermatitis. If adding some healthy fats to your diet does not provide you relief, you might want to have a doctor take a look.
I have sebhorreic dermatitis, and I use an over the counter shampoo call Nizoral.
I fight badgers with spoons.

Thank you. Did the sebhorreic dermatitis start after WLS for you?
