Got my surgery date!!!

I had my appointment with the surgeon last Friday and my surgery date is March 16th! WOW! That is close I said. He said there was a cancellation for that day. So now my journey has now begun. I started the optifast this morning! The taste is alright could be better. Im going to by a few flavouring extracts to change the taste up a bit. Im super excited that the waiting now has an end date. Question? Does anyone now can I still tae my daily vitamins while on optifast. i tae a multivit b12 4000u D. and especially magnesium it tae for muscle relaxation.

Congrats on your surgery date!! It'll be here before you know it. I don't know about the vitamin question, I didn't have a pre-op diet. Good luck!! xoxo

My surgery hospital says vitamins are ok while in the preop diet. Birth control should be stopped a month before. And they will call and tell me which meds to stop taking the day before surgery.

Congratulations!! My Doctor's office told me what to take and not take for regular medications. You will be on loser bench soon!

Congratulations! Your surgery is the day before mine. I was told what medications to keep taking at the anesthesiologist appointment. I am taking my vitamins until the day before surgery.
