New Breakfast for Taco Bell
I heard on the radio Taco Bell is testing a new breakfast item. It was described as a cereal bowl deep fried, more cereal is put in the bowl along with cake icing. Sounds just awful. Not something I would ever thought of eating before RNY. Why do restaurants put stuff like this out. Seems to me they should work towards making more healthy selections. Absolutely, no one needs this concoction.....IMO.

I work for a company that follows the trends in the restaurant industry. "Cravability" is very big buzzword, and something the industry depends on to grow revenue. Consumers bore easily, and new, delicious sounding, different, cravable menu items are what drives traffic. It's really kind of sick, since they play on our weakness.
BTW - another interesting fact to note. Studies have shown that consumers like going to restaurants that offer healthy options...however the majority of restaurant diners still choose the unhealthy/high calorie options. It's as if these high calorie items aren't as bad because they share the same kitchen as the healthy options. SIGH....
