Hypoglycemia and sugar tolerance test???
I would not do one. What does your doctor want you to do it for?
I would simply monitor my blood sugar before and after eating instead. I see no benefit to inducing severe dumping syndrome for me.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
Sugar tolerance test and RNy is not a very good idea - IMO.
I dump and I know I have RH.. and that is bad...
good luck...

It sounds like what you have is reactive hypoglycemia. It is different than, and needs to be treated differently than, regular hypoglycemia.
If you know you dump, do NOT do the glucose tolerance test. It won't supply any new information, and will make you violently ill.
Do a search for reactive hypoglycemia. It is well controlled by a careful diet.
