Only 4 days left on my 2 week pre-op

Yah, I have made it through 10 days of the pre-op diet and it's not been to bad. I guess it's because I am just so excited to be doing this. I even joined friends for lunch today and had and unsweet Ice tea and got ho****er to have my Medifast beef soup in. Sat their enjoyed my tea and beef soup and the company of my good friends. I am getting so excited Just getting 4 more pre-op diet days done and then It will be NPO for surgery the next day!!! Yah.

I can't tell you how happy it made me that my surgeon only requires a special diet for two days before surgery.  I just had to do two days on clear liquids.  Now I'm 3 days out of my surgery and doing well.

For my curiosity, what kind of diet are you on for two weeks and what did they say is it's purpose?

My two week diet is basically, 5-6 Medifast/fasttrack products and then all the sugarfree drinks, broth, coffee, tea, sugar free jello and sugar free popcycles. It is suppose to help shrink the liver so that it will be smaller making the surgery easier, faster and safer to do.
