Pre-op Antiseptic
Passing along information for those yet to have WLS: I used something called "Scrub-Stat" the night before surgery provided by my surgical team. It came in a 4 ounce bottle and is a liquid surgical skin cleanser, antiseptic, to scrub the area where incisions will be made. It gave me a little bit more peace of mind. Good Luck pre-WLSers.
My surgical team gave me these thick wipes that I had to use starting 2 days prior to my surgery. I had to wipe down my whole entire body with these wipes. The day of surgery when they were prepping me they used one on my stomach. You are so right it gives you that extra peace of mind.

My surgeon gave me sponges preloaded wroth the antiseptic soap. I showered the night before right before I went to bed and scrubbed the my abdomen and public area, then the morning before surgery I scrubbed again. Did make me feel better about the chance of infection.
