I have read a couple of these threads and thought that I might start a new one and see if anyone has other home remedies etc.

Question...

What do you do to treat nausea??

I will write what I do and see if there are others as I could use some ideas...

Prescribed

*****

Protonix daily

Reglan this is more for reflux

Zofran as needed

Has anyone tried ginger tea or other products?

TIA

Looking at your profile, it looks like you are 4 years out. For me, if something makes me nauseous, I don't eat it again.

What does your doctor say?

ETA, just read your old posts. I guess you revised 6 months ago.

I am two years out.  I never have nausea unless I am sick with a stomach virus?

I used ginger tea when I was pregnant with some good results.

If I were experiencing nausea often enough to need remedies, I think I'd want to see the doctor to find the cause.

I need to fix my profile. I had RNY in October.....

Been having a rough go with nausea. I sometimes see other ppl post about it.

Nausea is a symptom of another problem. If you're that early out from surgery, it's likely that you're dehydrated if you're nauseated on a regular basis. It's not normal. If you are getting all of your fluids in, maybe you're eating something that you shouldn't or that doesn't agree with you.

Start tracking when you're nauseated and match it up with your food log to see what's causing it. No remedies needed if you're not sick!

TY this is such a good idea. I have been hospitalized several times for dehydration.

Now I will log this with my food journal.

Then hearing this, I think it's safe to say you're dehydrated. I was only hospitalized with dehydration once, but i was so nauseous I couldn't drink or eat anything. It's ridiculously important that you keep up with your water intake because once you get behind, you're too sick to catch up. Good luck!

RNY is absolutely correct.  Dehydration definitely causes nausea.  Great advice!
